Meet Ms. Roslyn De Florimonte
Ms. De Florimonte serves as the Executive/Marketing Assistant for The Language Institute Inc (TLI).
Roslyn De Florimonte is Guyanese born. Her highest level of education is High School but she eagerly awaits the opportunity to further her studies in the areas of Management and Counseling.
After the completion of High School, she entered the field of technology with her first job as a trainee technician, building machines, assisting in running network cables and trouble-shooting some software. She progressed to spending two years as a Data Entry Clerk with the Ministry of Agriculture under the CFRAMP (a Caricom project) and then did some customer service, Administrative and Data Entry tasks for National Pride’s Financial Services.
Ms. De Florimonte spent a few years in the capacity of Confidential Secretary at Carlton Ambrose Enterprise, then returned to the Ministry of Agriculture for another four years as a Data Collector and Data Entry Clerk where she collected raw data from the fields and input them into a database ready for stock assessment. After this period, she moved on to test her skills at something completely different and spent a couple of years with NGO dealing with persons afflicted with HIV. There she did some counseling, monitoring and evaluation before the organization closed.
For a brief period she became an entrepreneur, merchandising clothing to her Guyanese counterparts. She even assisted her mother who also conducted her own business in the food industry.
Ms. De Florimonte has now served The Language Institute Inc. for approximately two years. She began her career there as a Receptionist / Office Assistant. After one year of successful execution of her duties, she was allotted additional responsibilities earning the new job title as Executive /Marketing Assistant which position she currently holds.
Ms. De Florimonte is an outgoing and free-spirited person who likes to keep others smiling. She welcomes some adventure and knows how to handle challenges. She is strongly opposed to any injustice done to herself or others. All in all she is generally a people’s person.
Her hobbies are interacting with people, working with others, especially in counseling, music, dancing and athletic sports.
