Ms. Cecily Bernard, Managing Director of The Language Institute Inc., was this March (2011) named the BGU Representative for Guyana, and her Institute, the BGU Representation Office. This arrangement was formalised by the signing of a project agreement between the two parties in early April 2011, which foresees the Institute and Ms. Bernard overseeing all of BGU operations in Guyana in accordance with the vision, mission and values of BGU.  

The Bakke Graduate University or BGU as it is more familiarly known is a global education institution headquartered in Seattle Washington, which strengthens leaders who steward resources for vulnerable people and places. BGU has strongly and positively impacted over sixty countries worldwide resulting in phenomenal changes globally as it carries out its mission of collaborating, supporting, building and empowering nations. BGU's foremost desire is to help and equip student leaders so they can return to their cities to make metamorphic changes as they improve lives.
